NHS Registration Process

In order to be able to work with us through the National Frameworks, we are required to conduct a series of pre-employment checks as outlined below and in the Department of Health and the guidelines set by Health Trust Europe, Collaborative Procurement Partnerships and NHS Scotland. At PPRUK we are always on hand to help you along the way and assist with any part of the process you feel necessary. These pre-employment checks are outlined and simplified below.

The four steps to compliance:

Document Verification and Interview

We are required to view all your original documentation in order to verify them against the documents we hold. At present, this is being done over video call which we can arrange at a time to suit you. It will take no longer than 30 minutes and we will ensure that we have all the information needed from you.

You will also need to fill out our application form (download available below) and have to hand the following documents:
  • Right to Work: Evidence of valid Passport OR valid Passport and Visa
  • Curriculum Vitae: Covering all work history from schooling onwards
  • Proof of Address & NI Number: 2 x proof of address dated within the last 3 months, and your National Insurance Number
  • Professional Registration: Proof of payment/renewal to professional body
  • Qualifications and Training Certificates: Originals required

Occupational Health (Fitness to Work)

PPRUK will collate your immunisation history, laboratory reports and confidential Health Questionnaire. We have partnered with a specialist Occupational Health company who will review these documents and certificates and provide you with a Fitness to Work certificate.

We will require proof of the following immunisations:
  • Varicella
  • Tuberculosis
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)

If you currently hold an Enhanced DBS Check that is registered with the DBS Update Service; either through your existing employer or recruitment agency, please provide PPRUK with a copy alongside authorisation for PPRUK to check the DBS Update Service.

If you do not currently have a registered Enhanced DBS, PPRUK have partnered with a specialist DBS Provider and we can complete a new one on your behalf. Our fast and professional service will fasttrack your application and guide you through any queries and questions you may have.

Mandatory Training

All Health Professionals working within the NHS are required to have completed annual mandatory training courses with their current employer or agency. If you have completed this training, please send us copies of any certificates that you have for our records.

If you are unable to provide certification or need to complete this training; PPRUK have partnered with a specialist provider who are CPD accredited and aligned to the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) and we can provide you with access to the online training courses required.
